Ask yourself why?
Why are you eating a food? Because it tastes good? Because you feel social pressure? Is it because you are bored or angry or sad? Is it providing any nutritional benefit? Are you using the appropriate portion size?
You have a goal of losing excess weight and to be more fit and active. People who don’t understand may make negative comments but what does that say about them? Are they upset because you want to be healthy and well? Or are they upset with themselves because they lack the discipline that you have to make changes? Don’t let them make you feel bad because you want to look better, feel better and be healthy.
Emotional eating is very dangerous. Try to find a hobby so that when those emotions kick in you know how to fill that void.
Choose foods that will provide you with micronutrients, foods with vitamins and minerals = alive foods. Fruits, vegetables…
Processed foods may say they have micronutrients ADDED but it will take more of them to fill you up. You will over-consume! Have you ever eaten too many carrots and apples? No, I didn’t think so. How about grandma’s cookies?
